Armor 321 is a Minnesota-based fitness company dedicated to creating accessible, adaptive, inclusive, and evidence-based fitness programs for seated athletes and standing partners. This mission has been strengthened through platform and filming partnerships with two fellow Minnesota organizations—Fitness On Demand and CCM Wellness Center—reflecting a shared commitment to advancing adaptive and inclusive fitness content across communities.

The partnership between Armor 321 and Fitness On Demand plays an important role in expanding access to adaptive fitness and inclusive wellness programming. By combining the adaptive fitness expertise of Armor 321 with the platform and reach of Fitness On Demand, this collaboration helps bring inclusive workouts to more wellness facilities, communities, and individuals nationwide and around the world. According to Ashley Chase, Content Manager at Fitness On Demand, the collaboration was a natural fit rooted in a shared commitment to accessibility, representation, and inclusive fitness experiences:

“When we first connected with Armor 321, it was pretty clear right away that we shared a similar mindset around making fitness more accessible and welcoming for everyone. As a digital content manager for Fitness On Demand, I spend a lot of time thinking about the types of experiences and representation we provide on the platform and A321 brought something really meaningful and important to that. What made the partnership especially meaningful was that it felt very genuine and mission driven from the start. We’re also both based in Minnesota and realized we shared the same college background here at home, which made the connection feel even more personal and community focused. Their adaptive fitness programming helped Fitness On Demand expand the variety of content while helping more individuals feel seen, supported, and included in fitness spaces that don’t always have a focus on accessibility.”

Putting Inclusive Fitness into Practice

More on the partnership!

Building on this shared commitment to accessibility and inclusion, Armor 321 and CCM Wellness Center—also a Fitness On Demand partner—collaborated this past spring to film new adaptive fitness content designed for seated athletes and standing partners. The partnership between Armor 321 and CCM Wellness Center represents more than a few days of filming—it reflects a growing movement toward making wellness more accessible and ensuring that individuals of varying abilities have opportunities to move, strengthen, and improve their health. By bringing together expertise in adaptive fitness programming and community wellness, the collaboration created an opportunity to expand fitness content and support broader access to adaptive and inclusive fitness programming.

CCM Wellness Center Manager Angela Lee shared, “Our mission at CCM Wellness Center is centered around improving the health and well-being of our entire community by creating a welcoming, supportive, and inclusive environment for individuals of all ages, abilities, and fitness levels. Partnering with Armor 321 reflects those values by helping promote accessible fitness options that empower more individuals to participate confidently in movement and exercise. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to ensuring wellness is not one-size-fits-all and that everyone deserves opportunities to pursue healthier lifestyles in ways that work for them.”

That shared vision came to life throughout the filming process. Through this partnership, Armor 321 filmed 20 adaptive fitness videos at CCM Wellness Center—bringing together cast, crew, and production equipment for onsite filming. The programming focused on functional fitness, including upper body progressive resistance training, core strengthening, and cardiovascular endurance to support strength, stability, and mobility. Designed for both seated athletes and standing partners, the content aims to expand access to evidence-based fitness opportunities while highlighting the importance of inclusive programming within community wellness settings. Throughout the filming process, this partnership demonstrated firsthand the impact that is created when organizations prioritize accessibility and inclusion.

Armor 321 Co-Founder Sarah Huseby shared, “Filming at CCM Wellness Center was a powerful example of what can be achieved when organizations share a commitment to accessibility and inclusion. By bringing adaptive fitness programming into the community wellness setting, we were able to create content that not only expands access to exercise opportunities but also helps demonstrate that fitness can and should be designed for individuals of all abilities.”

The importance of expanding adaptive fitness opportunities across the fitness industry is underscored by public health research on the benefits of regular physical activity. According to the World Health Organization, regular physical activity can reduce the risk of chronic disease, improve mental health, enhance cognitive function, and support long-term independence. Research from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services also continues to show that exercise supports improved sleep, energy levels, stress management, and overall well-being. Yet, the CDC reports that only about 1 in 4 adults meet recommended physical activity guidelines.

Collectively, these findings highlight the need for evidence-based, adaptive fitness programming that expands access to movement and exercise for individuals of varying abilities. As Armor 321 Co-Founder Dr. Taylor Huseby explains:

“Armor 321 believes that adaptive fitness must be evidence-based and intentionally designed to meet the needs of both seated athletes and standing partners, ensuring that strength, health, and movement are truly accessible. When programming is built with evidence and inclusion at its core, it not only improves physical outcomes but also strengthens community, confidence, and connection for participants.”

Creating lasting change requires intentional investment in accessible, adaptive, inclusive, and evidence-based fitness programming that supports individuals of varying abilities. Meaningful progress also depends on partnerships—such as the collaboration between Armor 321, Fitness On Demand, and CCM Wellness Center—where organizations combine expertise, innovation, and shared purpose to create lasting impact.
