Putting Inclusive Fitness into Practice

Inclusive fitness isn’t just a trend, it’s becoming a fundamental expectation for operators, organizations, and members. As the fitness industry continues to evolve, access and inclusivity are a central part of delivering meaningful fitness experiences to people of all abilities. That’s why we are excited to announce a new partnership with Armor 321, an adaptive fitness and inclusive training platform co-founded by Minnesota entrepreneurs Sarah and Taylor Huseby.

This collaboration represents an important step forward in expanding access to high quality digital fitness content for individuals of all abilities, while giving operators practical tools to better serve their communities.

As part of this exciting partnership, we have introduced 10+ of Armor 321’s evidence-based workouts to start, bringing adaptive and seated training options to our extensive digital library of more than 1,200 on-demand classes. The initial release is designed to support individuals with diverse abilities, while enabling operators to enhance inclusivity, without increasing staffing or operational complexity.

Why Adaptive Fitness Matters and Why Now

Adaptive fitness and inclusive programming are gaining momentum across the health and wellness industry. Globally, platforms tailored to individuals with disabilities projected to grow at a 19.4% compound annual growth rate through 2032. This growth reflects increasing demand and highlights the strategic importance of accessible fitness solutions for operators and organizations.

In the US alone, more than one in four adults report having a disability, representing over 61 million people according to recent CDC data*. Despite growing awareness, participation gaps remain. People with disabilities are consistently less likely to meet physical activity guidelines, reinforcing the need for programming that removes barriers and supports long term engagement.

As digital fitness has become a standard expectation among consumers, inclusive and adaptive content available both in-club and at-home is no longer optional. For operators focused on retention, differentiation, and community impact, accessibility is a vital part of delivering a complete fitness experience.

A Partnership Built on Shared Purpose and Practical Impact

Armor 321’s programming is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of individuals with mobility limitations, physical disabilities, and other access considerations. The workouts are functional, empowering, and built to scale across both digital and in- facility environments.

“This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to making fitness more accessible and inclusive,” said Andy Peat, CEO of Fitness On Demand. “True inclusion means ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, has access to high quality fitness experiences. Armor 321 brings expertise in adaptive training, and together we are helping companies better support the communities they serve.”

The collaboration also aligns with broader industry momentum, as inclusive and adaptive training continues to feature more prominently in fitness trend forecasts. As the industry expands beyond traditional formats, programming that reflects a wider range of needs and abilities is becoming essential.

“We are excited to partner with a platform that shares our commitment to inclusive fitness,” said Sarah Huseby, Founder of Armor 321. “Accessibility should be built into the fitness experience, not treated as an afterthought. Through this partnership, we are expanding our reach and helping operators create environments where more people feel confident, capable, and supported.”

What This Means for Operators and Members

With Armor 321 content now available through the Fitness On Demand platform and mobile app, operators can expand their programming mix with adaptive workouts that support a wider range of members. This helps clubs and organizations:

  • Broaden their appeal to previously under-served populations
  • Strengthen member retention through differentiated content
  • Support holistic wellness for members of all abilities
  • Foster stronger community engagement through inclusive programming

What’s Next?

This initial collection of workouts represents the first phase of the partnership, with plans to grow the offering over time.

By integrating Armor 321 content into our digital library of HIIT, strength, cardio, recovery, and mindfulness programming, we continue to deliver practical, scalable solutions that help companies to meet the diverse needs of today’s users, while supporting long term engagement and a stronger sense of belonging.
